[All Users] Ohio State Ski & Board Team: Killington notes and Team papers to sign--IMPORTANT

You were sent a group e-mail from http://www.osuskiteam.com/.

Hey guys,

After all of the rain that we've had it looks like it's finally starting to get colder, and that means snow is on the way! Our Winter trip to Killington is also coming up as Sunday the 11th will be here as soon as you know it (or as soon as these horrible finals are over), so get stoked! We will also be hosting our annual Favorite Fifth/Ugly Sweater party this Friday night at Fitz's house, 68 E 17th 9PM so bring your ugly sweaters and favorite fifths and be prepare to "gift" and "be gifted".

For those of you that are joining team, I (TPalms) will be at the Thompson Library in the multi-purpose room tonight from 8(ish)pm until 12am-ish with lots of papers to sign.

I have:

-MRM pass papers

-Team waivers

-Race forms

I will also be back in the same room Wednesday night from 8pm until 12am-ish. The multi-purpose room is the room directly above the berry cafe and is on the 1st floor level with the Oval.

MRM notes:

- To get your pass: Just go to the lift ticket office the first day that you go skiing/boarding and tell them that you bought a group pass through the OSU Ski Team and they will take your picture and give you your pass there

- Mad River was tentatively scheduled to open this Friday but considering the weather will most likely open after we arrive back in Columbus so we probably won't get to ride before we leave for VT

- To get rides to Mad River during the winter, go to our website at http://www.osuskiteam.com and create an account or login and we will have a section for those of you (including officers) to post your ride availability including number of seats, days you will typically be going, and your cell number. Ski Team regulars go up almost every day and it is generally pretty easy to find a ride any day of the week.

Racing notes:

- I have the registration form for the MCSA but will be sending out a link at a later date to register for the USCSA

- We are waiting on MCSA to update their race schedules but there will be four in Ohio this year

Notes about Killington:

- Those of you that are in the dorms and need somewhere to stay the night before the trip can contact me or one of the other officers (info at the bottom) to find a couch to crash on.

- Anyone needing their skis/board waxed and or sharpened can drop off their gear at Michael Kwon's house at 2215 N High St. Apartment B. His apartment is right behind Black Sheep Board Shop, just go down W Norwich off of High St., turn right on the first alley and the parking lot for the apartment is right there. Text him first at 703-943-8914

- The rooming list is attached, this is based off of rooming preferences that I was given earlier and everyone else that didn't have a preference was fit in as logically as I could. If problems arise, rooming can be switched around--just let me know.

Trip Itinerary:

December 11th:

5:45 AM Meet at the Ohio Stadium parking lot in front of gate 22. We will make sure everyone has officer phone numbers, load the bus, and take roll call

6:30 AM Begin fun! We leave for Killington, VT! If you show up late and we're gone, well... you're out of luck, so be there on time. If for some reason you think that you will be late, make sure to contact either Tyler Palmer or Ben Jaworski with AMPLE time to pick you up (last resort)

9:00(ish) PM Arrive at the Killington Pinnacle Condos

December 12th-15th: Mountain open: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM

December 12th: We will be having a welcoming pizza dinner at a nearby pizza/bar/thing place! Following dinner we will be having a surprise themed party (those of you that have been on our trip before know what it is--don't give it away though!)

December 15th: Farewell party

December 16th:

- 8:00 AM We leave Killington and head back to Ohio State

10:00(ish) PM  Fun ends as we arrive back at the shoe and head home for the holidays

To those of you that are driving:

You will need to go to the Snowshed Base Lodge if you arrive before us (call/text to find out) located at 3861 Killington Rd. Killington, VT to check in and get your room keys. One person from the group will need to put a credit card down on file as insurance against damage (so don't trash the rooms!) to get your rooms.

General Killington Notes:

- Bus cargo space is limited, so pack like you're going on a plane. Leave the extra clothes and stuff at home.

- Buses are BYOB, YOU MAY BRING ALCOHOL, but I have to emphasize no glass bottles can be open on the bus, they obviously can once we're there, but not in transit.

- All of the condos have a full kitchen and we will be able to go out and buy food when we get there so don't overstock and bring a ton of food before we even get there--we won't have room for it.
